Things are heating up early in the WNBA season for the Phoenix Mercury as the Seattle Storm the team the Mercury swept in the first round of last years playoffs blows into U.S. Airways Center. During the offseason, the Storm undertook a serious re-build around last year's league MVP, Lauren Jackson. Seattles most notable acquisition? Three-time WNBA MVP and Olympic gold medalist Sheryl Swoopes. Ack. Looks like new Mercury head coach Corey Gaines will need to keep the run-and-gun offense a-blazing to stave off this Storm.
