There are plenty of hardcore ethnic Vietnamese joints in these parts, but Anise isn’t one of them. You’ll notice it right away, by the fact that every table doesn’t have bottles of hoisin and chili sauce. Instead, this pretty café is trying to appeal to everyone -- even curious first-timers -- with fresh, accessible fare, easy-to-read bilingual menus, and reasonable prices.
