Café ZuZu

6850 E. Main St.
(Hotel Valley Ho)
Scottsdale, AZ 85251
480-248-2000
Website
If Scottsdale had a couple more Ho’s like this one, it might be on its way to outclassing La-La Land. The hotel is pure George Jetson-Googie-Mid-Century swank, a cherry spot, with the kind of finger-poppin’ pizzazz that cost $80 mil to re-create. Ho’s Café ZuZu aims to put you in the way-back machine, with nostalgic noshes like mac 'n’ cheese, meat loaf and mashed pots, and chicken and dumplings. The results are hit or miss, but the hotel’s so bleedin’ hip that it makes up for the menu’s occasional errors. Sort of like a V-8 '57 Chevy that gets 10 miles per gallon, but is oh-so-sweet a ride.
