Despite what you may think, not every nightspot in Scottsdale is a gaudy danceteria laden with overpriced cocktails and thuggish doormen. To wit: this groovy roadhouse located across the street from the ginormous General Dynamics facility has an unpretentious and hassle-free feel, where patrons can get a shot or a beer without a chaser of attitude from bartenders. Over the past few years, the Mardi Gras has become a destination place to check out live music, where its stage showcases any number of local and touring acts from a variety of genres, including hard rock, Americana, punk, and the occasionally hip-hop night.
